Games Workshop Digital Books for the iPad

Wow, just had this drop into my inbox from Games Workshop.

Istore Digital editions of Codex: Space Marine (expanded to 324 pages) at $AUD 45 , How to Paint Citadel Miniatures - Ultramarines at $AUD 8, Battlefield Challenge - Deathknell Watch at $AUD 6 and six Scrolls of Binding for Warhammer for $AUD 1 each.

My first thought was that this was brilliant but on closer inspection i'm a bit less impressed. These are itunes only at this point probably because their copyright control is reasonably tight and even worse they will only download to an ipad which is a bugger cause i dont have one and have no intention of getting one.

I wonder if there is a price difference around the world?

  1. Hello, if you're interested why GW haven't launched an Android app I wrote up my thoughts on it here:

    http://www.tetsugaku.info/why-havent-games-workshop-published-their-digital-codexes-on-android-as-well-as-iosipad

You might be far more interested in the follow up post:

Looking for as much constructive feedback posted on the articles as possible, they form part of a personal project to put together a project proposal for GW so they don't fall off a technology cliff.

    Cheers
